BAJACROSS DEMOS: THE PROOF IS IN THE RIDE!

ITP has gone all-in with tire and wheel support at numerous events around the country this year. Stop by and say "hi." We may just sneak a set of BajaCross tires onto your rig for a test drive.

There are a lot of good reasons to attend any one of the great ATV/UTV enthusiast events taking place around the country these days. Lots of camaraderie with fellow riding/driving fans, scenic and exciting terrain to explore, good food and entertainment as well as plenty of activities to either watch or participate in are just part of the attraction. The ITP staff personally knows just how enjoyable these events can be, having attended the High Lifter Mud Nationals in Texas, the Rumble on the Ridge in Ohio, the Moab UTV Rally and the Paiute Trail UTV Jamboree in Utah, and the Side X Side Roundup in Tennessee. We're looking forward to being at several more events in 2009 too!

Perhaps the best reason to join the fun is the opportunity to personally check out ITP's new BajaCross tires. All year ITP has been a part of the big events, and at almost all of them we've brought along several sets of BajaCross tires mounted on ITP SS Alloy wheels, ready to bolt on for a few hours of hands-on testing. Those who have taken advantage of these demo rides have come back thoroughly impressed.

For example, here are a few words from the 1st Annual Paiute Trail UTV Jamboree, held mid-August near Marysvale, Utah:

"We are currently running the chrome SS112 14's with another popular brand (9 and 11)...nice tire wear and great for the desert riding that we do. So we ended up doing the BajaCross on the demo deal you had going on and took the same trails as we did the day prior and we agreed HANDS DOWN my favorite new tire is the BajaCross. As a side note, it's a true 25-inch tire as the others are 26 but in reality they measure out to be 27-inch and cause body damage. We ran the BajaCross all day and had done some demo rides with customers and we loved the handling and great traction they had provided during the day. We had to give them back, as much as we did not want to. We put the old ones back on and took another customer out for a demo ride and, well, we almost flipped it because we lost traction to the rear as we were coming out of the apex of the turn. This was the same route we took all day at the event. The Teryx went into a fish tail and we almost lost it. We were able to recover, but not without the banshees scared out of us. Remember, this was the same course we drove all day with the BajaCross and same driving habits were used. The customer and I had laughed it off but it was an E ticket in a not so fun way. So hands down the BajaCross is the tire for hard pack and trail riding. Now will be recommend it to all my customers as a standard tire when upgrading." - Endi A. Maricevic, CEO, Side X Side Customs (818.846.1037).

"Thanks for being at the UTV Jamboree in Marysville with ITP and MTA. Thank you so much for letting us run the BajaCross tires on our Razr for the day. I really liked them enough I didn't want to give them back; we did end up buying the set we used from Triple S Polaris in Ogden, Utah. I have been running the Big Horn radials and thought I really liked them until I tried the BajaCross tires. The BajaCross tires had less vibration to the steering wheel and that was nice when you ride over 100 miles a day. They also didn't push through the loose gravel like the Big Horns do. I tried them in every type of terrain but mud (just couldn't find any). Thanks again." - Jeff and Megan from Utah.

"We were at the Utah Paiute trail rally and we spoke to Garth Butler about tires and rims and he gave us an opportunity to try out the BajaCross tires with the SS312 rims on the trails and they were awesome. We decided to get a set for our Ranger we loved them so much. So we sold our ITP Mud Lites that are also great but we wanted a tire for climbing and road use more so then a mud tire. Thanks greatly to Garth and his team for the chance to try out an awesome set of tires and rims." - Troy and Kristie from Minnesota.

"I just wanted to say thanks to Garth at MTA and ITP for having some BajaCross tires mounted for demos at the UTV Jamboree in Utah. I have been a diehard Maxxis Big Horn fan for years. All of my quads and both of my RZRs have Big Horns. Garth convinced me to take a demo on the BajaCross. All I can say is "WOW!" I thought that my RZR was designed to push in corners; it's never handled well at all until I rode the BajaCross. All this time I thought it was the RZR. The push on the Big Horn is really bad; in fact we call it piloting the RZR, not driving because you have to adjust so much for the push, it's like driving a boat. Our demo was 14x26 BajaCross on ITP SS108s as I recall, a great setup for the trails we were riding. The BajaCross are simply amazing tires, hugging corners on both hard pack and soft sand and everything in between. The handling was far beyond anything I have gotten from Big Horns and I think even superior to the TerraCross, which I demoed a few years back. It was so solid in the turns it begged you to hit them faster and harder to find out where they would let loose. I was taking the turns much harder then I dared on Big Horns. They are tough as nails too. I beat the snot out of them all day long with fast, hard driving in sharp rocky terrain. Another RZR riding with me ripped out two sidewalls on the same trail. I was a bit nervous taking them back to Garth but they had no visible wear showing anywhere. If Garth hadn't already sold them I was planning to keep them. Was a bit disappointed when he put my Big Horns back on the RZR. Guess I know where my next tire purchase is going." - Shannon from Utah

Over Labor Day weekend the ITP crew made the scene at the Side X Side Roundup at Brimstone Recreation Park in Huntsville, Tennessee. Here, owners of a variety of quads and side-by-sides were asked to fill out a brief post-demo evaluation form on the BajaCross. High marks were recorded across the board for this tire's ride comfort, acceleration, stability, overall handling and rock and hill climbing capabilities. Words like "awestruck" and "dumbfounded" and "I'm going to get this setup for myself" were common.

There are some excellent events still on the schedule this year. If you can make it out to one, be sure to swing by the ITP display and say "hi." And give the ITP BajaCross a try...we're sure you'll be impressed, too.
