ITP and the Warnert Can-Am Racing team proved to be a potent combination throughout the 2010 Grand National Cross Country Championship Series. Race wins, podium appearances and ultimately numerous overall class titles made headlines all season. No team had a greater impact this year, and its success came while using a wide variety of ITP tires. ITP’s Holeshot, QuadCross XC, TerraCross R/T and Mud Lite models all made their way to winner’s circle on a regular basis.
Most notable were the results of Warnert’s utility class riders. Cliff Beasley, Michael Swift and Bryan Buckhannon all tallied perfect 160-point scores (amateur classes count the best eight finishes during the 13-event schedule). Beasley left no doubt by winning every single event to claim the U2 class championship (201-840cc modified ATVs with no racks). Buckhannon took the 4x4 Open class, while Michael Swift grabbed the 4x4 Limited division.
Chris Bithell and Adam McGill were both consistent front-runners in the XC1 Pro class in 2010. Bithell enjoyed an overall victory at round six and finished the season with three straight top-three podium visits. Just edging Bithell for third place in the final point standings McGill, who showed up on the podium eight times in 13 races.
Rounding out this Minnesota-based team’s season was Lexie Coulter, who finished fourth overall in the highly competitive Women’s class standings. Coulter won the opening round and then stood on the podium seven more times during the series. Less than ten points separated the top four riders in this division.
Congratulations to the riders, technicians and management who made it all possible. ITP is proud to have been able to play a part in a sensational season.
