ITP-EQUIPPED, ROX SPEED FX-BUILT ARCTIC CAT HUNTING QUAD FEATURED IN DIRT WHEELS MAGAZINE

The ultimate hunting quad? It may just be this Arctic Cat 650 H1 TRV Plus built by Rox Speed FX. Rox Speed pushed the envelope in terms of a hunting-specific setup for this ATV, to great effect. The results were so successful that it even earned a six-page feature article in the November 2007 issue of Dirt Wheels Magazine.

A vital factor in the preparation of this hunting Cat was the choice of tires and wheels. Rox decided to go with ITP's 27x9R-14 front and 27x11R-14 rear Mud Lite XTR tires mounted to ITP's 14-inch C-Series T7 Beadlock aluminum wheels. The performance and durability this combination provided was impressive, to say the least. As stated in the Dirt Wheels story:

"These tires deliver the best of both worlds, a great self-cleaning mud tire that rides like an all-terrain tire due to its radial construction. We have put many miles on the XTR tires and they have proven themselves time and time again. In fact, the radial design works great in the snow as well.

"Going to the larger 27-inch size (25-inch stock) adds additional ground clearance and, just as noticeably is its newfound ease of crawling over logs and rocks. These larger diameter tires definitely increased this quad's off-road all-terrain capability. The XTR radial also have a six-ply sidewall, which provides more sidewall stability when your quad is loaded with gear and game, not to mention much better puncture-resistance.

"The 27-inch XTR's were mounted to ITP's C-Series T7 Beadlock wheels. As you can see, these satin black rims with custom camo beadlocks look super-trick. From a functional standpoint, these beadlock rims are very tough if you are running in rocky terrain. The other thing is, you can survive on lower air pressure without the tire coming off the rim."
